"Is there any word from the Lord? And Jeremiah said, There is" (Jeremiah 37:17)

A Word From The Lord is a live call-in Bible program sponsored by the church of Christ. It allows the viewing audience to interact in the Bible study.

you tell me where it says in the bible that people can't donate, and why having something on the website that says make a donation or "freewill gift" is me being a wolf. If that is the case then you need not to take up your "free will" gifts at your worship services.

        Billy,
Why is it that you "pirate pastors" think that we are saying "Don't give" or "no free will offerings"? We have never said that. The point that we are making I show you guys use the place of a minister of God to make merchandise of people by always begging for money.
When you tell people that it is commanded to "tithe" there is no way that you can then say that people are giving "free-will"... you have imposed upon their will.
The command to "Tithe" violates the scriptures that Paul gave.
Notice what tithing does not allow when compare to New Testament instruction:
"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart {tithing does not allow people to purpose], so let him give; not grudgingly,{tithing is an obligation that some people cannot afford, therefore they give grudgingly} or of necessity:{saying it is a command, that you ought, should etc makes it a necessity} for God loveth a cheerful giver. {again, when commanded to do a thing that is burdensome, there is no joy}" (2 Cor 9:7)
So Billy, learn the difference in a "command to tithe" and a "free-will" offering
