Should Billy Eat His Bible??

On February 22, 2007, "Bishop" Billy Williams debated brother Jason Hairston over the existence of miracles today. A caller asks Billy to heal a person in a wheelchair since he will not "demonstrate" on TV. Billy offers to do so and is so certain it will happen he claims he will eat his Bible if it does not! On Tuesday, May 8, 2007, the man in the wheelchair was taken to Billy's "revival" for the healing. You be the judge - should Billy eat his Bible?

      Billy - EAT YOUR BIBLE!

You said that you would heal this man any where, any time. And if you didn't that you would put some A-1 on your Bible and eat it. Can I bring a camera and film that? Or is it going to be in a year or so - like you said the healing would be? I heard you say, "In my book, he's healed." Well it might be that way in your book, Billy, but its not that way in God's book. Or, maybe you (Billy) could explain where you get the passage showing that a healing is a gradual thing. Who knows, maybe after you eat your Bible you'll be able to come up with it.

hahahahaha, thats so funny i forgot to laugh. If you will watch the show with me and jason the women who called in stated that this man could not walk nor get out of his wheelchair, furthermore when the revival was going on there was a young man who knew this guy and told my decon that he had never even seen this man get out of the wheel chair. the reason the man didn't get healed is because you guys wanted to see it for all the wrong reasons. Furthermore, the whole time service was going on your people where so rud, and disrespectfull that i could hear them over me. Also the bible speaks aobut haveing the power in your tounge to speak life and death to watever you need to speak it to, whith that said the whole time during service, and while i was praying, everyone kept talking negative, they didn't want this man healed and neither did you, jason, or anyother church of christ preacher, the reason being is because of the actions that was shown that night. if i wanted someone to be healed i would not talk negative like the others were. The bible said to be specific when you pray, i prayed that this man would come up out of this wheelchair and walk, and thats just what he did, who knows maybe this guy needs some physical thereapy, oh wait thats right that wouldn't be a miricale would it. Well on that note i say this, if it is God who gives the doctors the knowledge to know how to make the human body work again then to me thats a miricale/healing. Because without God we could do nothing.

The man could not get out or walk in a normal capacity. If what you claimed happened was a miracle, then please explain why 1) you admitted that he was not healed when they left (you said being healed now is not what matters, but having faith) and 2) why was the man not made "perfectly whole" like the man in Acts 3:16? You can call it a miracle and define it the way you wish, but that is not a miracle like we read about in the Bible.
Concerning the talking done by our brethren, Billy, will you be honest enough to tell us whether or not apologies were made for doing so? They were, but will you admit it? And since they were, why do you now bring it up? Do you not forgive people who repent and say they are sorry? Is that they way you treat everybody?
Furthermore, the disorder and chaos that was already going on - like pouring oil over everybody, shouting and kicking off shoes - you would think that talking would simply be right at home in that setting.
I find it interesting, too, that our "not wanting the man healed" as you say, has more power than those of you who claim that God's power today works miracles. All we want Billy is for you and those who believe the same to realize that the form of godliness you are following is not of God.
